A Director's Cut 3D product film for Owens Corning's SureNail® Technology. The central creative challenge was making a roofing shingle feel genuinely tactile, something that reads as physical and believable on screen. Most of the work lived in the material development; getting the SureNail® band to have the right weight and texture took serious iteration, with Substance Sampler doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Lighting carried much of the storytelling, and the full scope from animation to final edit was handled solo.
